Full training:  *

$500. Averages 20 rides per month. 

Training Rides: 

$45/45 minutes

$35/30 minutes

Part training:* 

$450.  Averages 16 rides per month, 4 per week.
$400.  Averages 12 rides per month, 3 per week. 

Full Service Plus Training

Add $125 per month to your base training rate. Prorating allowed in one week blocks, $35 per week.  Full Service includes: holding your horse for the vet or farrier once per month; regular bathing(currying with waterless groomer in winter); purchase and preparation of grain & supplements(owner must bear the cost of the grain and supplements); brushing out of tail & mane once per week; hoof oil application; wound care; regular turnout or ground work with blanket removed; and other miscellaneous day to day management items. I provide hoof oil, shampoo, fly spray & coat spray.  Full service is required if the owner is absentee or cannot make minimum once weekly visits to see to these important basic needs.  Full service is also a super option if you plan to be out of town for a week or more, or have other obligations that will prevent your frequent visitation.  Horses in training plans whose owners fail to make minimum visits to meet the above basic needs of the horse will be automatically billed for these services.

Grooming Services*

Clipping:  Full body is $125. Blanket is $100. Trace is $60.  Show clipping-bridle path, whiskers, fetlocks, jaw, ears, tail-$50.  Mane pulling-$50.  Show braiding-$35. Bathing-$35.

Lessons on your horse: **

Clinics:

$500 per day, 7-10 riders, plus travel expenses.

  • Boarding at Lava Bluffs Equestrian Center, at The Ledges exit of Hwy 18 in St. George. Contact Ryon Gardner directly for details at 435-668-2046.  
  • Two month minimum on full training, unless I am familiar with the horse’s previous training or previously trained the horse myself. 
  • Full and part training include normal brushing & hooves picked out.  I provide wraps, saddle pads, and brushes. Owner provides fly spray, coat spray & hoof oil, unless full service is opted.
  • Part training options are not available unless I have previously trained the horse myself or am familiar with the horse’s previous training.
  • The owner is to bear all vet, farrier, and miscellaneous expenses. 
  • Lessons are considered a training day, and can be incorporated into the full training program weekly.  Late arrival to lesson without two hour notice means time docked from lesson, full rates still apply.  Four hour notice required to cancel.

  • Haul-in fee extra, $5 per ride to Lava Bluffs Equestrian Center. I will travel within Washington County for a minimum of two lessons.  Add $5, plus any arena fee required at your location.  If three or more lessons can be scheduled in a single day at a single farm, there will be no additional charges for travel.
  • Lesson horses are not available.  Lessons are only given to a rider on a horse he or she owns.   
  • Lessons are always private. 
  • Helmets are required unless you are over the age of 18 and sign a specific release regarding such.
